Immigration Programs

Federal Skilled Worker

The application process and eligibility to immigrate to Canada as a Federal Skilled Worker, include work experience, education and language skills for each program.

This program has minimum requirements to determine your eligibility. Factors your application will be based on include age, education, work experience, whether you have a valid job offer, English and/or French language skills.

These factors are part of a 100-point grid used to assess eligibility for the Federal Skilled Worker Program. You earn points for how well you do in each of the 6 factors.

Family Class Sponsorship

Sponsor your relatives, including your spouse, partner, children, parents, grandparents, and others to immigrate to Canada.

Your relatives can live, study and work in Canada if they become permanent residents of Canada. You can sponsor certain relatives to come to Canada if you’re at least 18 years old and are a Canadian citizen, a person registered in Canada as an Indian under the Canadian Indian Act, or a permanent resident of Canada.

Investor / Entrepreneur

The Government of Canada welcomes investors, business managers, and entrepreneurs of all shapes and sizes who are interested in settling and seeking new opportunities in Canada to apply to their business immigration programs.

Different Federal and Provincial Programs are available to those who seek to start a business or to invest in a Canadian business.

At the Federal level, there are two programs: the Immigrant Investor Program and the Start-Up Visa program. Additionally, each province has different programs under its Provincial Nominee Program.

Canadian Experience Class

The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is an immigration category for Canada's foreign workers who wish to become permanent residents.

Minimum requirements include: having obtained at least one year of skilled, professional or technical work experience in Canada within 36 months of the application date; meeting or surpassing a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 or 7, depending on the level of the job; and planning to live and work outside of the province of Quebec.

Quebec Experience Program

International students and foreign workers with experience of studying or working in Quebec may be able to settle permanently in the province.

Much like the Canadian Experience Class, education, work experience, and language proficiency are important factors to determine eligibility.

Provincial Nominee

Canadian provinces and territories can nominate individuals who wish to immigrate to Canada and who are interested in settling in a particular province or territory.

Each Canadian province and territory (except Nunavut and Quebec) has its own unique Provincial Nominee Program. Each PNP has at least one immigration stream that is aligned with the federal Express Entry immigration selection system.
